Duties/Responsibilities:
To provide a first class clinical service to all patients
Provide relevant expertise and experience necessary to ensure efficient day to day clinical care of medical in-patients
Undertake full clinical duties including the daily clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients including initial resuscitation, referrals to specialist teams and ensure safe discharge and follow up
Participate in management of medical emergencies on the Acute Medical Unit
Attend and manage patients in the outpatient clinics
Participation in 24/7 shift rota
Teaching, supervision and development of Junior medical and non medical staff
Participate in Division of Medicine Grand Rounds and Audit meetings
To develop professionally and take part in all service development
To perform ad hoc duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the Consultant

Skills/Experience:
Full GMC registration with a license to practice
MBBS/MBChB (or equivalent)
Full/Part MRCP / Equivalent or PLAB 1&2
Minimum 4 years full time post graduate experience
Minimum 2 years General Internal Medicine and/or Medical Specialty experience
Efficiency in teamwork and equally good communication skills
