Ideally the successful candidates will also have a specialist interest in either pleural disease, interventional bronchoscopy or interstitial lung disease.

The successful appointee will be expected to:
· Provide specialist in-patient and out-patient opinion and case management
· Consolidate and develop respiratory services for the local population
· Contribute to the further development of respiratory services across the Trust
· Promote and support education of primary and community care practitioners

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Full registration with the GMC (or eligible for full registration)
Specialist registration with GMC or be within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the time of interview
MBChB or equivalent
Postgraduate qualification or equivalent
Completion of basic & higher training
A specialist interest in pleural disease, interventional bronchoscopy or interstitial lung disease.
Experience researching projects relating to Thrombosis and Haemostasis
Experience teaching students
Good organisational skills
