Duties:
Provision of a first class clinical and laboratory service for patients with disorders of haematology, haemostasis and thrombosis
Provide clinical interpretation of laboratory tests of haematology and coagulation and provide advice to clinical colleagues
Lead on clinical hospital transfusion services
Provide advice and support for laboratory and clinical blood transfusion
Participate in multidisciplinary team and clinical governance meetings
Teaching, supervision and development of Junior medical and non-medical staff
Contribute to audits and ongoing research activity


Person Specification:
MBBS or equivalent
MD / DNB in Haematology
MRCP / FRCP or equivalent
Minimum 7 years full time post graduate experience
Minimum of 2 years continuous Haematology experience
Consultant level experience
GMC registration (or eligible to secure GMC registration)
Efficiency in Teamwork and superior communication skills
Leadership and Management skills
