General Sales and Marketing Manager for Germany, France, Eastern- and Central Europe (m/f) in the market for diamond tools for natural stone
Das Unternehmen / The enterprise:
is located in the region of Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. Here is the head office of Sales and Production for Germany, Eastern Europe, Central Europe and France.
The business model is made of technical products (synthetic diamond processes). Core businesses are diamond tools (blades and wires) and solutions supported by a worldwide technical assistance. The activities are sales development, production of special products, services and logistic coordination with other affiliates abroad.
The enterprise is the subsidiary of a worlwide active leading group which manufactures steel grits. This group operates also on natural stone diamond tools; a manufactory with a huge range of diversity. Concerned turnover 8 Mio ¤ (overall natural stone division 32 Mio ¤ worldwide)
This division is one of top 3 players in this market.
Through it´s well known brand, one is operating on the 3 fields on natural stone processing: Extraction, primary and secondary cutting.
Aufgabenbereich / Area of responsibility
1. The Key objectives are:
You ensure direct and indirect sales management.
You are responsible for the sales growth and support the transversal product coordinations.
You develop a strategy individually focused on differentiated customer segments by considering the inside adopted change management aims.
2. Missions Sales development
You ensure the budgeted goals (volume, margin, cash, market share).
You adapt the customer portfolio by focussing on the most attractive, important key-account-customers. You value product-line and service and make the cooperation with them more efficient. This is your contribution to improve the result substantially.
You develop new sales channel (indirect, tradings,…) with the goal to optimize geographical coverage and sales expenses.
You support the core business growth by promoting and introducing new technologies on wire and framesaw business.
You support sales growth in countries and markets- in cooperation with other ompanys´affiliates – where the inquiry for the product- and service offer will grow very probably.
You install within your daily teamwork more “industrial and formula” orientated methods although the enterprise – a manufacture - operates within a hand made market. This means f.eg.: Make a “unique” catalogue for individual customer solutions, convince your sales team to focus sales time with potential important customers mainly, to cooperate with them in a deeper way, to offer them more value for the value of their customers to improve at least customers´results. Your sales representative should try to exceed customers´needs.
Sales management
You are responsible for daily management and motivation of commercial and technical teams
You have direct responsibilities for key accounts
You develop teams competences on fields of sales and value to customers
You report to the management according to companys´ rules
Ihr Profil / Your profile:
This function requires a graduated Sales manager, very strategically thinking pragmatist, a human expert and leader as well who search the challenge. You are a strong, authentically and ambitious personality with standing property and the ability of getting through.
You have experiences from the the diamond tool industry for natural stone solutions (this would be really a plus), or the construction or natural stone business with a direct link to diamond tools
You have proved results in management of sales forces with deep technical, international and cultural background and in change management
You demonstrate sales creativeness and willingness to achieve results in commodities markets (raw material, markets which are comparable)
You have a natural leadership, you are the personality who can active support and help, who initiate changes with confidence among your team in combination with a certain hands on mentality. You know how to be convincing inside and externally and to assert yourself as well.
You know the European, especially the German and French culture and dispose of appropriate experiences
You have a certain technical background
Language: German and English, French will be a real plus
Mobility: regular travel in Western/Eastern Europe “natural stone countries”.
Location: Operating from home-office - the south of Germany would be good, Bavaria very good
You report to the Affiliates General Manager
